The Concept

TerraBloom is an action-defense game that fuses strategic construction, exploration, and intense combat sequences. Players assemble modular terrain elements, plan their defenses, and confront waves of enemies to protect an artifact that enables biome restoration. This three-phase structure alternates between tactical moments and action-packed sequences.

The world is divided into thematic biomes, each offering specific challenges and opportunities.

Build Phase
📐 Phase 0: Crafting

Assemble your terrain with predefined terrain blocks. Create a path and an optimal topology to maximize your chances of victory during the combat phase.

Exploration Phase
🛡️ Phase 1: Strategy

Make the best use of your terrain to position your defense elements in strategic locations. Transport the restoration artifact to its installation point.

Combat Phase
⚔️ Phase 2: Combat

Defend the artifact against waves of hostile enemies. Survive until the end of the cycle to restore life in the biome.

The "Chunk System": Infinite Replayability

Unlike classic terrains, TerraBloom uses an architecture based on Chunks (predefined terrain blocks). Each session is different: you never play on the same map. You decide the world's topography, using the terrain to your advantage to optimize your defense.

The Universe

TerraBloom takes place in a distant dystopian future where Earth has become uninhabitable following the collapse caused by humanity. Survivors have taken refuge underground for generations, preserving knowledge and technology.

The Restoration Project uses technological artifacts enabling planetary restoration zone by zone. Each artifact purifies soil, water, and air, stimulating rapid flora regrowth. However, the planet's fauna and machines that served humanity have become aggressive, and each restoration triggers attack waves from these hostile entities. This is a phenomenon that no one fully understands yet.

Tone: Optimistic despite the world's corruption. Life can be reborn. The world's repair remains possible.

TerraBloom - 4 Biomes

The Four Biomes

The player will evolve across multiple maps built within 4 totally different biomes. The idea is to bring variety to environments and also to gameplay, which must adapt to the specificities of each. For now, 4 biomes are initially planned:

  • 🏜️ The Semi-Arid Desert — An arid landscape where life persists despite the climate's hostility. Cities and ruins buried in the sands and dunes bear witness to a forgotten civilization. Restoring this zone means rediscovering what has been lost.
  • 🌋 The Land of Fire and Volcano — A burning hearth where extreme heat has consumed fauna and flora. Solidified lava and black rocks shelter creatures of chaos. Restoring this biome soothes the earth's fury.
  • ❄️ The Frozen Lands — A morbid silence envelops this white and crystalline universe. Eternal snows, rugged mountains, and resilient, robust fauna. Restoring these lands means awakening sleeping life.
  • ☠️ The Toxic Swamp — The very essence of corruption. Acidic and corrosive vapors, mutant creatures, poisoned soil. The ultimate restoration challenge, where the chemistry of death must be transmuted into a source of life.
